invasive); Honduras; México – CP, CS, JA, TA, VC, YC.

Macrohabitat: Lowlands to uplands, 5 – 1718 meters altitude near water.
Microhabitat: Adults are ground-dwelling on wet margins of water bodies (e.g. rivers and
reservoirs). Dispersal abilities: Macropterous, probably capable of flight; slow runners,
strong burrowers. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in January, March – April,
August (teneral), and November. Behavior: Nocturnal; halophobic, hygrophilus adults are
predaceous and take cover during the day in burrows they dig in the substrate, under stones,
or under surface debris. Adults aestivate during the dry season in the substrate.
