Common Name: Simple Beautiful Black Searcher
Synonyms: Calosoma simplex LeConte, 1878
Notes: Burgess & Collins (1917) reported this species from AZ, CA, CO, NM, TX and Mexico, however, Gidaspow (1959) believes the species to be localized in central California
Biology:
Macrohabitat: Lowlands to uplands, 16-2195 meters altitude. Microhabitat: Unknown. Dispersal abilities: Macropterous, probably capable of flight.
