Locality: Native, New World. USA- CA, WA
Common Name: Different Beautiful Black Searcher
Synonyms: Calosoma discors LeConte 1857; Callisthenes discors inversus Casey, 1913
Biology:
Macrohabitat: Lowlands to midlands, 100-1200 meters altitude, on coastal grasslands and in the Sierra Nevada foothills in oak savannahs. Microhabitat: On the ground amongst grasses. Dispersal abilities: Brachypterous, hence flightless thus vagility limited to walking or running. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in March- July. Behavior: Unknown.
