Macrohabitat: Uplands, 1800-2200 meters altitude. Microhabitat: On open ground with sparse vegetation on short grass praire and in dry forests (e.g. Pinus). Dispersal abilities: Brachypterous, hence flightless thus vagility limited to walking or running. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in April- August.
