Biology:
Macrohabitat: Uplands, 1800 meters altitude, on Wayah Bald. Microhabitat:
Adults are ground-dwelling on deep humus amongst Rhododendron catawbiense Michx, R.
maximum L, Kalmia latifolia L.). Dispersal abilities: Macropterous, probably capable of flight;
slow runners, strong burrowers. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in July. Behavior:
Adults overwinter in the substrate.
