Biology:
Macrohabitat: Lowlands to midlands, 30 – 1000 meters altitude, in pampa
zone transition with stones. Microhabitat: Adults are ground-dwelling on grassy areas
with Scalesia trees. Dispersal abilities: Brachypterous, hence flightless therefore vagility
limited to walking or running; slow runners, strong burrowers. Seasonal occurrence:
Adults have been found in February, May – June, August – September, and November. Behavior:
Predators on substrate invertebrates. Under stones and in rotten Scalesia logs; also
found in oatmeal traps.
