Biology:
Macrohabitat: Lowlands to uplands, 44 – 2200 meters altitude. Microhabitat:
Adults are ground-dwelling on volcanic substrates. Dispersal abilities: Brachypterous,
hence flightless therefore vagility limited to walking or running; moderate runners, moderate
burrowers. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in January – September, and
December. Behavior: Adults are nocturnal, predaceous, and take cover during the day in
burrows they dig in the substrate, under stones, or surface debris and in rotten logs. Adults
aestivate during the dry season in the substrate.
