Biology:
Macrohabitat: Lowlands to midlands, 244 – 1400 meters altitude in open dry
forest. Microhabitat: Adults are ground-dwelling in leaf litter near small streams. Dispersal
abilities: Brachypterous, hence flightless therefore vagility limited to walking or running;
moderate runners, strong burrowers. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in June,
August, and December. Behavior: Adults are nocturnal, predaceous, and take cover during
the day in burrows they dig in the substrate, under stones or surface debris. A dead specimen
was found in June.
