Locality: Native, New World. USA- AZ, CO, NM, UT, WY.
Common Name: Lindroth's Gazelle Beetle
Synonyms: Nebria gyllenhali lindrothi Kavanaugh, 1979
Biology:
Macrohabitat: Uplands to mountains, 2130- 3960 meters altitude. Microhabitat: Hygrophilus, on lake shores and margins of brooks, on rather wet ground. Dispersal abilities: Brachypterous, hence flightless thus vagility limited to walking or running. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in June- September; teneral adults in July. Behavior: Adults are nocturnal, carnivorous; taking cover in the day under drift or among stones. Adults hibernate. (Erwin, 2001; Kavanaugh, 1979 & 1985 & (in litt.); Larochelle & Lariviere, 2003)
